Before you write your goals for next year. Before you choose your word. Before you plan your resolutions. Pause. Look back. And remember.
We’re so quick to rush into the next thing that we forget to honor what God already did. The prayers He answered. The doors He opened. The ones He closed that you now realize were protection. The strength He gave you on the days you were sure you couldn’t keep going.
God was faithful in 2026. And this devotional is your invitation to remember.
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
Every morning this year, His mercies were new. Even the mornings you didn’t notice. Even the mornings that felt impossible. His faithfulness wasn’t dependent on your awareness of it. It just was.
Think back through the last twelve months. Where did God show up in ways you didn’t expect? A conversation that changed everything. A provision that came just in time. A peace that didn’t make sense. Write it down. Be specific. Your future self will need to read this on a hard day.
Not every prayer was answered the way you hoped. But some were. Name them. Celebrate them. Let gratitude fill the space that anxiety has been occupying. He heard you. He responded. That matters.
This might be the hardest prompt. Because to answer it, you have to remember the hard thing. The loss. The fear. The waiting. But on the other side of remembering is this truth: you made it. You’re here. And you didn’t make it because you were strong enough. You made it because He carried you.
Was there a verse that kept showing up? One that you clung to in a specific season? Write it down. This is your Ebenezer stone—your marker that says, “This far the Lord has helped me.”
Now look forward. Not with anxiety, but with expectation. What are you believing God for? What dream feels too big? What situation needs a miracle? Write it down and surrender it. He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.
As you close out this year, consider choosing a scripture piece that represents what God did in 2026—or what you’re trusting Him for in 2027. Wear it as your Ebenezer. Your daily reminder that the God who was faithful this year will be faithful in the next one.
His mercies are new every morning. Great is His faithfulness. And you, friend, are living proof.
